Also we’ll revise our grammar about future tenses.<br />\nTask 1<br />\nFirst of all we’ll start with new vocabulary. Look at the board and read the words. You can also find these words in your books on page 28-29. Try to understand the words and check the meaning in the dictionary.</p>\n<p>Check these words</p>\n<p>aroma, platter, common sight, deep-fried, marinated, pop, roasted, pest, contamination, unavoidable, witchetty grub, dough, nutty taste, edible, abundant, fraction of resources, cholesterol</p>\n<p>Reading<br />\nPre-reading<br />\nAs you know, many people around the world eat insects. People in South Africa eat insects and soon they will also appear on Western menus. Their benefits are that they are high in protein and low fat. </p>\n<p>Task 2<br />\nNow, look through the text and try to fill in some missing parts in it.<br />\nUse the following strategies:<br />\n Read the text to get the general idea.<br />\n Read the section of the text with a gap and identify the topic.<br />\n Read the sentences before and after the gap and look for clues about the missing sentence, certain words may help you (e.g. time references, pronouns).<br />\n Decide which sentence goes in the gap, check that it fits with the sentences before and after it. </p>\n<p>Reading<br />\nLet’s read and translate the text. </p>\n<p>Post-reading<br />\nTask 3<br />\nSo, listen to the text and pay attention to the pictures (Play the recording).<br />\nLook at the exercise 4 and match the words/phrases in bold with their meanings.</p>\n<p>Practice language<br />\nTask 4<br />\nNow we’ll revise Future Tenses. Tell me, please, how we can express the future? What verb forms can be used? Procedure
We’re starting the new topic about extreme facts from unusual food. Also we’ll revise our grammar about future tenses.
Task 1
First of all we’ll start with new vocabulary. Look at the board and read the words. You can also find these words in your books on page 28-29. Try to understand the words and check the meaning in the dictionary.

aroma, platter, common sight, deep-fried, marinated, pop, roasted, pest, contamination, unavoidable, witchetty grub, dough, nutty taste, edible, abundant, fraction of resources, cholesterol

Pre-reading
